It’s time to panic!
There’s disturbing new research out of China revealing that several individuals are already infected with a drug resistant superbug that just wont respond to our most powerful antibiotics.
1% of the 17,182 samples taken from Chinese hospital patients over the last 8 years were immune to Colistin. Colistin is our last resort in fighting the really heavy duty serious viruses and infections.
Since Colistin has been used for a long time in Chinese agriculture to quicken the growth of livestock it is being linked with increased human levels potentially leading to the death of millions worldwide. The global medical community warns that if these resistant superbugs gain the advantage over our medications we could be in for all time high death tolls of disastrous proportions.
This is just another example of our ever quickening society’s quest for faster everything. Faster computers. Faster food. Faster cows. Faster demise.
