Las Vegas Mass Shooting Timeline

This article will be evolving as events unfold. Our hearts and prayers go out to the families of the victims and all those involved. Anyone with any info to add please comment. (NOTE: Some news events here may or may not be related but we feel it’s important to report anything weird going on in the vicinity in case they do correlate). 

• 9:23 p.m. Conflicting witnesses reports of an unidentified distressed Hispanic woman accompanied by an unidentified male. Some reports state that the woman was warning that “They’re all around…You’re all going to fucking die today” and other reports coming in that she was singling out someone out and then turned the comments on the surrounding attendees. One witness described the couple as Hispanic, looking like “everyday people” and around 5ft 5in to 5ft 6in tall. It is still unclear if there is a correlation but not to be ignored. More information here including an eyewitness video.
• 9:40 p.m. Country music star Jason Aldean starts his performance at the Route 91 Harvest Festival in front of a crowd of more than 22,000 in Las Vegas.
• 10:08 p.m. There are reports “of multiple shots being fired from the direction of the Mandalay Bay towards the Route 91 concert that was taking place on the East side of Las Vegas Boulevard,” Clark County Sheriff Joseph Lombardo said Monday.
• 10:14 p.m. Reports coming in of multiple shooters from festival attendees on social media. Unclear if this is the case.
• 10:38 p.m. “We’re investigating reports of an active shooter near/around Mandalay Bay Casino,” police tweet. “Asking everyone to please avoid the area.”
• 11:00 p.m. Police shut down a huge part of the Las Vegas strip surrounding the event.
• 11:58 p.m. “Confirming that one suspect is down,” Las Vegas police tweet. “This is an active investigation. Again, please do not head down to the Strip at this time.”
• 1:32 a.m. A sheriff says Paddock was killed on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay Hotel and Casino, the New York Daily News reports. Minutes later, authorities say the death toll is 20 dead and 100 injured.
• 1:57 a.m. Las Vegas authorities tweet they are looking for two vehicles associated with the gunman.
• 2:22 a.m. Las Vegas police tweet a photo of Marilou Danley, saying that they are looking for her.
• 3:07 a.m. Multi-Millionaire Dan Bilzerian tweets to law enforcement about a shooter in the lower part of the hotel (he was attending the event).

• 3:30 a.m. At least 50 people are said to be dead, with at least 200 injured. Authorities identify the suspected gunman as Stephen Paddock, Patch Las Vegas reports.
• 3:38 a.m. Reports claiming “Gun silencer bill postponed after trump supporter goes on shooting spree in Las Vegas” are posting.
• 4:37 a.m. “We have located the vehicles in question, and we are confident we have located the female person of interest,” Las Vegas police tweet.
• 4:44 a.m. Hotel occupants adjacent to the shooter report ‘I was in room 135 and I heard over the police scanner that the shooting came from room 137,’ said the man, who asked not to be named. ‘It was non-stop, I would say well over 100 rounds. We hit the floor and took cover. I called the front desk and she was remarkably calm and said she was aware of the situation and told us to stay in our room. ‘After around 10-15 minutes it just kind of stopped. You could smell the gun powder. Right before we got out I heard an explosion, maybe a flashbang, but windows were blown out.
• 5:00 a.m. Initial reports and media report that the shooter was “taken down”.
• 5:08 a.m. So much gunfire that smoke from weapon triggered room alarm and gave away murderer position, says LV officer interviewed.
• 5:33 a.m. Las Vegas police tweeted a press release which says a SWAT team found Paddock dead in a hotel room at the Mandalay Bay. They say that 50 people are dead and 406 others are hurt.
• 7:14 a.m. The Islamic State of Iraq and Syria (ISIS) claimed on Monday that the man who opened fire on concertgoers in Las Vegas, killing at least 58 people, was acting on behalf of the group, but offered no evidence.
• 7:40 a.m. The death toll reaches 58 with 515 others hurt, the Daily News reports.
• 8:32 a.m. Reports on social media of people under lockdown at the Luxor Hotel for a possible bomb threat.
• 10:31 a.m. After reports of a school shooting all Nye County and Town of Pahrump government office have been closed in Pahrump as precautionary measures. This includes the courthouse on Basin Avenue.
• 11:25 a.m.  According to the Director of Nye County Emergency Management, there was not a shooting at any of the schools in Pahrump.
• 11:40 a.m.  This video surfaces showing gunfire from the 4th floor not the 32nd as reported by mainstream media. This also backs up the Bilzerian video and looks to be in about the same spot.
  
• 12:17 p.m.  LOS ANGELES (KABC) — A USC professor suffered “some sort of an episode” that caused students to believe there was an active shooter at school, triggering the campus scare and police response on Monday, police said.
• 1:15 p.m.  Nye County received numerous reports of a man with a gun at a local Pahrump school. The Nye County Sheriff’s Office cleared all Pahrump schools including Manse Elementary, Floyd Elementary, Hafen Elementary schools, Rosemary Clarke Middle School, and Pahrump Valley High School.
  No man with a gun was found. News and social media reports of an active shooter were unfounded. The Sheriff’s Office remains on the campuses.
• 1:15 p.m.  NCSO says that Duane Johnson, a wanted felon with a violent past, was spotted at Manse Elementary. When deputies approached him, he ran into the school. The school was then placed on lockdown.
• 2:20 p.m.  The owner of a Utah gun store says the Las Vegas shooter visited the store several times this year and bought a shotgun after passing a federal gun background check. This video makes ALL mainstream news immediately.
• 3:05 p.m. The death toll moves to 59, with 527 others injured, law enforcement officials say at an afternoon press conference.
• 4:33 a.m. A video of this dummy being totally oblivious to gunfire around her despite the efforts of passers by has been posted.
• 4:50 p.m. Police are gathered outside a Reno, Nevada, home that is owned by the Las Vegas shooter.
• 6:00 p.m. Locals reporting on social media that police are actively checking vehicles in the Las Vegas Strip and surrounding areas.
• 6:47 p.m. This longer video of the shooting event was posted to LiveLeak by a woman skeptical of what’s going on.
• 7:02 p.m. Police announce that the hotline number has been changed and the prior number has been disconnected due to “technical difficulties” (?)
• 7:08 p.m. Police reply to a question about the smoke alarm and a statement is given that no smoke alarm was involved. (contradicts earlier reports from officers on the scene)
• 7:12 p.m. Police announce that 22 weapons were recovered from the scene at the strip and 19 from his residence.
• 7:14 p.m. Police confirm that Stephen Paddock killed the “one” security guard on the 32nd floor.
• 7:15 p.m. Police announce that there is still no motive for the shooting.
• 9:25 p.m. Social media reports of another shooting at Ellis Island Casino and a possible suspect in custody.
• 9:19 p.m. This video from a cab driver is posted to YouTube after being deleted multiple times from other media outlets. In the video you can clearly hear 2 locations of shooting and at around 8:09 and 8:36 you can see what looks like gunshots fired from the top of the Luxor which would be a 3rd location. NOTE: Many are claiming this video is staged as well as the shooting event itself. Disturbing Times is located in Las Vegas and there’s definitely a whole lot of dead people and injured at our hospitals. Just sayin’.
  

At this point we’re ending this article. There’s much controversy over what happened that night and many, many opinions are flying around and internet sleuths. We tried to show a bunch of stuff here, by no means is it complete we’re sure. It’s just an account of the news as we saw it coming in that night/day.
