Deadly School Shooting Near Houston Texas
Santa Fe, Texas, Friday morning a teenager with a revolver and a shotgun opened fire at a high school marking the 22nd school shooting this year in the United States. Two people have been detained according to authorities.
The shooter has been identified as Dimitrios Pagourtzis a 17 year old that is now in jail accused of capital murder. The accused teen faces charges in the shooting deaths of 9 students and 1 teacher according to law enforcement officials.
A shotgun and .38 revolver (legally owned by the boy’s father) was illegally obtained and used by the accused in the incident according to officials. Texas Gov. Greg Abbott said that campus resource officers confronted the accused on the scene “early on in the process”.
Whether or not Pagourtzis was on an anti-depressant medication as is often the case remains to be seen.
